Big Weekend In May At Aidmore
By now, most of you know The Ambrose Golf Group (AGG), comprised of employees of Turner Broadcasting, will be hosting their annual charity golf tournament to support Elks Aidmore on Saturday, May 3rd. AGG has set their goal at $15,000 this year. The event will be at Crystal Lakes Golf Club in Hampton. We have four teams committed to play so far, with a goal of 10 teams participating. Please consider supporting this event. Registration is easy. Go to www.elksaidmore.com. Look for the Ambrose Golf Group flyer and click on "find out more". The click on the button that says "Click Here to Register Online". If you run into any problems, give me a call or shoot me an e-mail.
OPEN HOUSE will be held on Sunday, May 4th, beginning at 10am. As always, we will have tours of the cottages and campus, paddle boats, hayrides, horseshoes, food and great fellowship. We will be celebrating 75 YEARS of service to the children, youth and families of Georgia. Georgia State Representative Dee Dawkins-Haigler has been invited to present an official copy of the resolution passed on the last day of the legislative session, recognizing and honoring Elks Aidmore for its contributions to Georgia.
As part of our 75th anniversary, we are inaugurating an ALUMNI REUNION for former Elks Aidmore residents. Former residents are invited to attend the Open House celebration, then spend the afternoon reuniting and reminiscing. The pavilion has been reserved for alumni for the day.
Please make plans to come and join us for all, or at least part, of the festivities. Bring the family...it promises to be a fun-filled weekend!

2014 Memorial Service At Jekyll
Thank you to the Lodges who have sent information to me of their departed members for this past Elk Year. I still need information from Lodges who have not sent in information requested. I would like to have the names of departed members, how many years they were Elks and if they were Life Members. This information will be used in the Eulogy. We will follow regular format for the service Lodge and Auxiliary representatives calling out their departed member’s names. Any one having more information to add or if you have not sent in information, please do so was soon as possible.
Thank you in advance.

Thirty-One Gifts Fundraiser For Aidmore
Bethany Jackson, PER of the Cartersville Elks Lodge, has offered an interesting and unique way to help stretch the resources for the residents at Elks Aidmore. Bethany is a consultant for Thirty-One Gifts. Many of you are already familiar with the web-based business, or probably know someone who is.
Bethany has offered to help us in two ways. She has opened up a "party" on her website for Elks Aidmore Fundraiser. The Aidmore girls will be creating a Wish List valued at under $100. One way to help might be sponsoring a Wish List for one of the residents. Secondly, you have the option of just ordering directly from Bethany by going to her website , clicking on "shop" and then going to the Elks Aidmore Fundraiser. Of these direct orders, Bethany will donate 20% of the sales back to Aidmore. If anyone is interested in hosting their own party, Bethany will donate 10% of their sales as well! Once we receive $100 in donations, we will use the money to sponsor a Wish List for one of the residents.
For additional information, or to participate, please contact Bethany directly at 770-547-5905 or email Bethany at email@example.com.
The Photo Gallery has been updated as of 9/2/13 to include photos from Jekyll 2013, and Reno 2013. Go to Activities to find the link to the Photo Gallery. We still have more photos to post and will get them up soon. If you have photos of various Elk events around the state please email them to Webmaster. Please include a description of the event.
